After speaking at the NAACP convention Monday morning, First Lady Michelle Obama traveled to Panama City Beach, Florida where she met with business and tourism leaders of the area to discuss the impact the BP oil spill has had on the region. She not only met with the Bay County Tourist Development Council, but also the Panama City Beach Mayor Gayle Oberst. This was Mrs. Obama’s first visit to the area regarding the oil spill. She took part in a roundtable discussion at the Panama City Beach Welcome Center and also enjoyed a bowl of ice cream at the Pink Pelican Ice Cream Bar.
For this occasion, Michelle chose to wear white trousers paired with a blue and white floral drawstring blouse, from the Thakoon Pre-Spring 2010 collection. Does anyone else find it interesting that Mrs. Obama chose this top to wear to discuss the Gulf oil spill?
Is it just me, or does this ensemble look like a white outfit splattered with oil, rather than flowers? Was this a good or bad choice for the first lady?
